About Tallahassee FL And Our Area

The greater Tallahassee area is much larger than just the Capitol area. We pull in all the charm from the rural areas of Leon County to the adjoining Counties of Wakulla, Jefferson, and Gadsden, and our coastal communities are a short morning or afternoon drive away in Franklin County, along the famous Highway 98 along the Forgotten Coast.

Commuters drive in to Tallahassee for work, entertainment, and a touch of City and cultural diversity, and the Regional airport services most of the Panhandle area.  The State Colleges offer sports and athletic events that involve the whole family with tailgates and pre-game “downtown getdown” events. The millenials enjoy a growing dining and entertainment scene along with diverse arts and music venues.  Our retirees love our parks, tennis and gold experiences as well as movies, neighborhood events and a super active senior center. Traffic is minimal here in Tallahassee, and our scenic canopy roads are worth exploring for a day.

Tallahassee is known for its close-knit community, friendly business climate, and family oriented activities and recreation.  Tallahassee is truly one of the best cities in America – a little City with a big heart!  Just follow #IHeartTally and you will see what people love about Tallahassee, Florida.
